Weekly Wrap Up

It's Friday my loves!

We have made it through the week.  High five for that!  

So I think I'm going to take this week's post more on the wordless side.  It's been pretty standard, minus the going to a speakeasy with the roomie and a friend.  It was so wonderful to feel transported in time!

There was work, a dinner party, and fabulous box from It's Paper Dear that I am in love with!

Other than that it was a bit of lounging, some family time and a pedicure.  Enjoy the photos!

Thankful Thursday!

Good morning lovelies!

I hope you are all having lovely week so far.  It's about that time again for us to be thankful.

I know this is only the second time I've done this post, but it's so great for me to have to sit down and think about all of the blessings in my life, it's a nice reset moment in the week!

Here's this weeks list.

I am thankful to have the ability to share my baking with my friends and family.

I am thankful to have a home that I love.

I am thankful that I have been blessed with such a wonderful community.

I am thankful for the moments, even the small ones, that remind me how lovely life is.

I am thankful that my friends and family are safe and that the fires in Colorado appear to be more under control.

So there we have it, my brief list.

I hope that you compile your own list and that you think about all the blessings in your life!

Whimsical Wednesday-Week 2

This Sunday is Mother's Day! This week I searched for some great ideas for you for gifts for your moms as well as ideas for brunch (what mom doesn't love brunch!?!).

I've found over the years that the best gift I can give either of my parents is to just hang out with them, cook with them and eat with them. At my house, however, we have three events all usually within a week: Mother's Day, my birthday and my sister's birthday, so we end up doing one big celebration (often church and then family brunch). It's so much fun to get the whole family together (minus the one sister who lives out of state).

Here's some inspiration for those of you still searching for gifts for you moms, enjoy!

What a beautiful piece of art.  You can do it yourself too, if you're feeling adventurous.  Make a list of all the things you love about your mom and grab some wood, stencils and spray paint, she'll love it!.

I hope you were able to find some fun Mother's Day ideas.  I know all moms are different, but all moms love their children and almost anything that they give them (based on my experience anyway).  Make sure to treat your mom extra special this Sunday (just think of all the crap she had to put up with through the years :).
