Don't Worry, I'm Still Alive

Hello friends!

For those of you on the east coast I hope you made it through Hurricane Sandy safely and without too much trouble!  For those of you that have been around you know that I am from Denver, but would you believe that Hurricane Sandy made a mess of my life as well?  Not in a physical way but I do work on a TV show about hurricanes, so I've been working like mad for the past week and a half trying to get everything sorted out with Sandy.

So I'm still alive, I'm exhausted but I am doing just fine.  There has been a lot on my mind as of recently and I just keep fighting it, I don't want it to be true, I want to take the easy way out, be happy now and be done with it.  Have any of you ever felt that same way?

It's like, God put me at the beginning of this path and told me to walk this way, but there are all of these other, prettier paths that I would love to be walking down right now, paths that would give me comfort not and likely heartbreak later, paths that would cuddle me and eventually push me away.  But this path, the one that God told me to walk down, it's kind of lonely, it's not the prettiest and it's not always very comfortable.  It's hard, it's like the climbing the side of a mountain having no idea where the top is and being consistently tempted by the paths leading downhill.  I'm doing my best to stick to the "straight and narrow" knowing that in the end it will be the best.

In other news!  I've been baking, journaling, Smashing and what not.  Check out my trio of Rice Krispie Treats!

We have Oreo, Candy Corn and Crunch Berry!  I'm pretty excited about it to be honest, but there's a chance that these will all end up being a big pile of marshmallow and cereal, I didn't really think that through when I just piled them all on top of each other!  We'll see if we can get them apart tonight!

I don't think there's much else to share right now.  Sorry that I left you hanging out here all on your own, hope you didn't miss me too much.  It feels good to be back, better than expected actually!  I'm not going to make any promises just yet on how often I'll be around, I just have to go with the flow and figure that out, but thanks for being loyal and sticking around.  I've missed you!
