Happy Wednesday Lovelies!
This week has been an interesting one, not in a bad way per-say but not in a good way either. I haven't been splurging, but I haven't been saving. I've been sticking with my 10 dollars a day, but not doing as well with my other rules.
For instance...
-I ordered two subscription boxes this month
-I bought some adorable accessories during some sales
-I took out cash for groceries but still put some stuff on my debit card
-I stopped emailing TheBirdy
Sigh. Baby steps right? I'm doing A LOT better than I used to be, but still not perfect, but who needs perfection! (When it comes to money it would be a VERY good thing).
The end of the story is that I still have money left in my account and I'm two days away from payday. Usually at this point I'm stuck in a "a crap I have no money for the next two days so I won't buy anything, until I decide to buy everything on pay day" mode, but I'm not doing that. I went and made my car payment and didn't freak out and keep my fingers crossed that the money was there, because I KNEW the money was there.
It's great. It's a lot better. That's why the cash aspect of this is SO important to my plan, I can cheat a little bit with cash, but it's a lot harder to spend cash you don't have than to make purchases on your debit card with money that you don't have (or replace debit card with credit card...now that's bad!).
In other news, am I missing a secret to budgeting for gas, or is it just not possible?

Budget With Me Wednesday-Week 2
Hi Friends!
Happy Wednesday! As promised I'm here with a brief update on my budgeting (snore, I know).
This week has worked out better than I expected! The $10 a day rule is not that hard to stick with! The hard part for me is the groceries, it's really easy to spend a lot at the grocery store when I get really inspired to bake something for you lovely people!
However, for the time being I'm focusing on the $10 a day. I was surprised that at the end of the week I actually had $30 left! (including that days $10). I thought that this was going to be super limiting for me, but so far it has been nothing of the sort! It's been really great to get me on track with the spending!
Also, I've been keeping up with TheBirdy.com, it's been great to see how much I'm spending, just part of the slow process to change my habits.
Have you made any changes? I would love to hear about them!

Whimsical Wednesday-Week 8
As most of you may know, I just recently moved. It's interesting to try and rearrange a new home. I want to make the most of my space and I want to very intentional start new habits relating to organization.
The problem is that there isn't a lot of storage space in my new apartment. I have a huge closet with only two shelves. So I've been looking for some creative solutions to this problem. So far these are the ideas I've collected!

I already bought a frame to attempt this earring hanger. It would look really cute inside my closet.

This old drawer is a perfect jewelry box. It's so rustic and cute and super functional (which really is MOST important).

What an amazing medicine cabinet. Making the back of it magnetic is such a genius move!

Printable labels for your pantry. I have some jars but I've just been using painters tape to label this. This printable is way cuter!

I love this key holder, mail station. We don't really have a good drop place when we first get inside and I would love to have something like this.

I love this old metal mesh organizer. It's so cute and perfect for important things you need to remember in the morning!

And of course, I couldn't have an organization post without some mason jars. I love this idea with the rustic wood and the mason jars. It's such a great way to organize this. Now if I could find a place to hang it...
I'll keep you updated, hopefully I'll get at least one of these projects done, we'll see! Really what I need is a good place to put shoes. Any ideas?

Whimsical Wednesday-Week 4
Is it weird that most of this post is via IKEA? If it is, I'm sorry, if it's not then you found the right place!
Denver just got it's first IKEA about a year ago and I'm still fascinated by it and love making trips there.
I also just found out that I will for sure be moving out on June 1 so it's time to get serious about collecting items for my own apartment! It' so exciting.
So let's be honest, if you don't like IKEA you really don't need to read on. If you want to see what I love at IKEA then please continue. IF you love IKEA as well then for sure you have found a home!
These little ottomans are amazing! I love the vintage look they have!
So I just bought this duvet cover from IKEA. I love the dots and it's so versatile, I can use whatever color sheets I want! (I'm thinking green or bright blue...)
This bookshelves is amazing, and would be so easy to build! (Couldn't find a link for this one :/)
I love this lamp (can you tell that I love polka-dots?). Also from IKEA, could either match or clash with my duvet cover.
I don't know if you've seen it, but painted jars/vases are super in! I hope to make some for my new place :)
ORGANIZATION! This is so amazing and is so not my strong suit. I bought some of these jars from IKEA for flour and sugar, I really need to have the best of intentions (and actions) for keeping my food organized! (No link, but the containers are from IKEA).
And my favorite piece, this rug! I love it, I bought it, it's only 19.99 from IKEA.
If my apartment looks they way I envision it then I will be so excited. I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my apartment goals/dreams!
I'll have to take you on a tour of the place sometime, maybe in vlog form? We'll cross that bridge when we come to it :)

Whimsical Wednesday-week 3
Another week and more beautiful ideas to share with you!
There is so much to love! I thought about picking a theme but I was inspired by hair, cupcakes and tutorials this week so I decided to just leave it as a grab bag.
Here goes nothing!
The plan is to attempt to do this for my birthday part y hair. We'll see if it turns out or not :)
These drawer shelves are amazing! Now if only I could get my hands on some vintage drawers (and not a whole dresser...)
Yum! Fudgesicles, too many calories? I think not, these are just coconut milk, cocoa and bananas. Yum!
I found the blog Sincerly, Kinsey this week and fell in love. I want to try all of her projects but especially the above (how cute is that!) and the two below (I already ordered tiny glass jars :)

How cute are these! They definitely inspired me to throw a mustache themed welcome home party!
I'm hoping to get a tattoo within the next month or two. I really like this placement.
And I've always wanted one on my foot :)
Look at how cute this braid is! I love the pink hue (although I'm more of a blue/purple girl myself). Some colored tips may be in my future (even if it's just a tint I don't think I could do whole head.)
