Soundtrack Saturday-Dave Matthews Band

Ah, happy Saturday!  I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far!

I'm super excited because today I'm going to try something new! Have you heard of Capoeira?  It's Brazilian Dance Fighting and it looks AMAZING!  So I'm giving it a try and have high hopes (possibly too high?).

I really want to find a work out that works for me, something that I really love and want to do and that is also good for me.  I know that I LOVE dancing, so I figure that this dance fighting stuff would keep the dancing and add another element of strength into it as well.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

In other news, I rediscovered a band today.  An oldie but a goodie!  Hello Dave Matthews Band!

My sisters were in love with this band for so many years, and he is GREAT!  I didn't get into him until a few years ago, and to be honest I kind of forgot about him for a bit, but here he is, in all his glory!

This is pretty much my favorite song of his as well.  "You and me together we could do anything, baby."  I love that lyric, it's so positive and romantic really.

Enjoy!

Love,

Keely

Soundtrack Saturday-Florence and the Machine

Happy weekend my loves!

Did you get yourself some donuts, or something delicious for breakfast this morning?  Maybe you slept in a bit, went out to coffee, read a book?

I hope that if that's the case this will just make your day better!  My roommate and I are going to go see Florence and the Machine on Thursday so they're on my mind for sure!

This song intrigues me, I don't really understand but I really enjoy it.  It's great, I hope it gives you a chance to think and reflect, and enjoy life.

Soundtrack Saturday-Parachute

Happy Saturday my friends!

Hope you are recovering well from any goings-on last night, maybe you got a chance to sleep in?  I know I did, and I love it!

So this band I have been a fan of for several years.  They partner with one of my favorite organizations Mocha Club.  I volunteered through MC at one of their concerts a year or so ago and met the band, they were so great!

This song makes me cry every time I hear it is kind of sad it but it's so beautiful!  The love story is so heartbreakingly sweet, it's amazing.

I highly suggest you give it a weekend.

Enjoy your Saturday my friends!

Happy Weekend!

Did you have a great Friday night?  I know I did!  It's so nice to get those few days "off" (I always end up having SO much to do on weekends).

Today I'm coming at you with a song from a band that my sister introduced me to (are you seeing a pattern here, my sisters and I share a lot of music, it's great that we all have pretty much all the same taste)

This song is such a sweet song!  It's relaxed and romantic and all around a great song to start (or continue) your Saturday with!

Hope you enjoy it!

Soundtrack Saturday-Green River Ordinance

I discovered this band a couple of weeks ago and instantly fell in love with their sound, their lyrics and pretty much everything about them.  The great news is that I totally get to go see them TONIGHT!

All of their songs are great!  It was really hard to pick just one for today (and there was a lyric that I searched all of their songs for but couldn't find so I must have been dreaming but this is a just as amazing song!)

I've been listening to these guys almost all week long.  This is a great song, nice and slow and super romantic, totally breaks my heart a bit, and gives me a reason to hope!

Enjoy!

Soundtrack Saturday-The Lumineers

My sister recently sent me an email suggesting a local band. The email featured a YouTube video for this same song.

My oldest sister was instally hooked, I took a little bit longer to catch on, but now I'm in love. I love that they are from Denver, I love supporting all things local. I finally got around to finding The Lumineers on Spotify and have been jamming to their hit Ho Hey for a little while now.

The song is still not an overwhelming listen-to-it-all-the-time-song, but it is a pick-me-up and just a lot of fun, and it's always great to share interest in the same bands with my amazing sisters.

This song is called Ho Hey and it's by the Lumineers based out of Denver. Love!

I'm sure you've heard this song before, it's been everywhere for a while now but  I still just love it.

For me it's such an uplifting song, I love to listen to it when I need a little boost, so if you're looking for something a little bit uplifting you have come to the right place.

Soundtrack Saturday-Jon Foreman

So, not going to lie, I kind of flip-flopped a bit about posting this video.  I don't want to be shy about what I believe but I also don't want it to be the main content of the blog.  However, after a long (and by long I mean 14 hours on my feet) day or work and having to ditch out on church, this was the first song I ran towards.

It was wonderful, God and I had my own little moment in my car, we always do with this song.  I love that Jon Foreman sings the Lord's Prayer at the end of the song, I think it's so powerful.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

Soundtrack Saturday-Florence and the Machine

I found this graphic the other day

via

At first I couldn't place the lyrics to a song, I could hear the melody in my head but I couldn't figure out the band.  I ended up Googling the lyrics and finding that the lyrics are from a song called "Drumming Song" by Florence and the Machine.

I thought I would share.  Enjoy and have a wonderful Saturday!
